Welcome to Orlando

Welcome to Orlando.co.uk. Our website will be live early 2010

America is a country that likes to do things on a grand scale, and nowhere is this more evident than in Orlando, the jewel in Florida’s entertainment crown. There’s so much to see and do, you could easily fill several holidays not just one. All this is thanks in part to the explosion of theme parks in the area, at the centre of which, is the magic of Walt Disney.

The Walt Disney World Resort features six theme parks, all of which harness technology, imagination, and entertainment in very different ways. The one thing they all have in common, is that they have been designed to cater for everyone. To capture the true magic of Disney, the Magic Kingdom should be your first port of call. This is a park that brings to life many Disney characters and stories through a series of imaginative and exciting rides, an enchanting Cinderella Castle, and their legendary parades and firework displays. Character meals and autograph sessions with Disney characters are also a popular part of any visit available in the park, or the resorts hotels.

Getting Around Orlando

Getting around Orlando should be a relatively easy, and in some cases inexpensive exercise. This will start with transfers on your arrival at the airport. Public transport in this area is somewhat limited, but there are bus companies operating routes into downtown Orlando, and taxi ranks. Most people though will choose to take advantage of the facilities provided by their travel company. Travel agents often include either a coach transfer to most of the main hotels, or a private taxi in their packages.

Car hire can also be a popular and easily available way for getting around Orlando, and the state of Florida as a whole. Car hire can be included in package deals instead of transfer, with a wide choice of cars available to suit your budget. For those on a self catering holiday, in large groups, or staying away from the main resort areas, this can prove to be better value for money. All cars will come with a comprehensive insurance and roadside assistance package. Try AmericaCarHire.co.uk for cheap car rentals in Florida.
